The Escort Shuttle is a militarized version of the Lambda-class shuttle built under subcontract to Sienar Fleet Systems. It was designed to transport high ranking officers and diplomatic personnel through areas of extreme danger. The Escort Shuttle may also be deployed as a support craft. The most important weapon aboard the Escort Shuttle, the rear-mounted dual turbolaser turret, provides excellent protection against rear attacks. Most starfighter pilots will attack the rear of the shuttle not knowing the danger they put themselves in by doing so. The Escort Shuttle's heavy armament and heavy shielding make it a good choice in offensive strikes. It is often used for escort or boarding operations as the shuttle's lasers and warhead launcher can keep enemy starfighters at bay while it can unload a maximum of 24 troops against an enemy base.
